Eligibility Criteria: IIT Bombay Recruitment 2025
All the interested candidates must have the following qualification in order to be eligible for IITB recruitment drive:
(I) Educational Qualification:
1. Student Counsellor (on Contract):
- Qualification: Master’s Degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Social Psychology
- Experience: 6 years of relevant experience
2. Technical Officer (Scale-I):
- Qualification: B.Tech/ BE/ M.Sc. or an equivalent degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication or appropriate discipline
- Or M.Tech / M.E in any of the above-mentioned disciplines or appropriate discipline
3. Jr. Mechanic:
- Qualification: 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electrical & Telecommunication Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation Technology
- Or ITI in Electrician/ Electronics Mechanic trade
4. Technical Officer (Scale I):
- Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech in Safety & Fire Engineering
- Or B. E. / B. Tech in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering and M.E./ M.Tech in Industrial Safety
5. Jr. Mechanic (Backlog Vacancy):
- Qualification: 3-year diploma in Engineering in Mechanical/ Instrumentation Engineering
- Or ITI in Machinist/ Fitter/ Instrument Mechanic/ Electrician trade
6. Jr. Mechanic:
- Qualification: ITI in Machinist/ Fitter/ Welder/ Turner/ Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance trade
7. Jr. Mechanic (Civil Engg.) – NGCF Lab:
- Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics/ Mechanical
- Or ITI in Electrical Engineering/ Industrial Automation/ Mechanical Engineering trade

- Or ITI in appropriate trade with relevant experience
- Or Bachelor’s degree (other than B.Tech./ B.E.) in Instrumentation/ Electronics discipline
9. Jr. Mechanic (IEOR):
- Qualification: ITI in Machinist/ Fitter/ Welder/ Grinder/ Turner/ Hydraulics/ Auto Engineering/ CNC Mechanic/ Electrical/ Machine Tool Maintenance/ equivalent experience after the ITI certificate
- Or 3-year diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering/ Electrical & Telecommunication Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Instrumentation Technology/ Mechanical Engineering
10. Technical Officer (Scale I):
- Qualification: B.Tech./ B.E. in any discipline or MCA or M.Sc. in Information Technology or Computer Science
11. Jr. Mechanic (IEOR):
- Qualification: 3-year Diploma in Engineering in CS/ IT or equivalent discipline
- Or ITI in CS/IT or equivalent
- Or Bachelor’s degree (other than B.Tech./ B.E.) in CS/IT or equivalent discipline
12. Jr. Mechanic (Backlog Vacancy):
- Qualification: ITI
13. Sr. Medical Officer (Scale A):
- Qualification: M.B.B.S. degree followed by a Postgraduate specialization in Psychiatry
