NWR Apprentice Recruitment 2024: The North Western Railway has announced its recruitment process for 2024. A total of 1791 vacancies are to be filled in the NWR recruitment drive. They are hiring for the post of Apprentice. All the details about the selection process & application process & eligibility criteria/age limit are given below.

Eligibility Criteria
All the interested candidates must have the following qualification in order to be eligible for NWR recruitment drive:
Educational Qualification
(I) The candidates interested in NWR recruitment must have passed 10th class or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks from a recognised board.
(II) The candidate must also posses a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) / State Council for Vocational Training(SCVT).
Age Limit
(I) The candidates age must be minimum 15 Years to maximum 24 Years of age as on December 12, 2024.
(II) Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in
case of OBC candidates.
(III) For Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), upper age limit is relaxed by 10
years.
(IV) Upper age limit is relaxable by up to additional 10 years for ex-servicemen
How to Apply:
(I) Online Application:

- Fill personal details/BIO DATA carefully, use the application link given below to apply.
(II) Aadhaar Card Requirement:
- Provide 12-digit Aadhaar number during registration.
- Original Aadhaar or mentioned document required for verification.
(III) Name Consistency:
- Ensure name, father’s name, and date of birth match matriculation or equivalent certificate.
- Any mismatch will lead to cancellation of candidature.
(IV) Contact Information:
- Provide active mobile number and valid email ID for communication.
(V) Single Application:
- Apply for only one unit.
- Multiple applications with different details will be rejected.
(VI) Printout of Application:
- Keep printouts for document verification.
Selection Process
(I) Merit List: The merit list of candidates will be prepared based on the percentage of marks in matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) + ITI marks in the relevant trade.
(II) Percentage Calculation: The marks obtained in all the subjects in matriculation will be considered & Marks mentioned in the provisional or final certificate in ITI will be considered for calculating the percentage.
(III) Final Merit List: The final merit list of candidates will be prepared division wise/ unit wise, trade-wise, and community-wise. The list will be prepared based on the descending prder of percentage marks obtained.
(IV) Document Verification: The documents of selected candidates will be verified in this stage along with the medical certificate.
Training Period & Stipend:
(1) Duration: As per extant rules and directives of Railway Board.
(2) Accommodation: No hostel accommodation; candidates must arrange their own.
Agreement of Training:
Contract: Selected candidates (or guardian if minor) will have to enter into a Contract of Apprenticeship.
Medical Fitness:
Medical Certificate: Medical Fitness Certificate will be required at the time of document verification. It must be signed by a Government Authorized Doctor (Gaz.) not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon of Central/State Hospital.
